Hickory Smoked Meats Now Available


Dewey’s BBQ Market prepares hickory smoked meats in Texas’ African-American tradition. Our online market offers delicious BBQ briskets, BBQ hams, BBQ ribs, BBQ pork butts, smoked turkey, BBQ Polish sausage, and our own family-secret BBQ sauce. For more than 50 years, North Texans have enjoyed meats cooked over a hardwood fire, and Dewey’s BBQ Market continues that cherished Texas BBQ tradition. Chicago area customers may be the first to enjoy a walk-in and sit-down style restaurant since Dewey’s son, Robert, now resides in that area. Dewey’s BBQ Market Roots


Founded in 1951 from The Spare Rib Bar-B-Q Pit, which opened in Greenville near Dallas, Texas, Dewey’s BBQ Market has served North Texans for over 50 years. We honor Spare Rib founder, Dewey Fitzpatrick, by using his tried and proven smoked meat preparation processes and seasonings, often referred to as “dry rub.” Robert Fitzpatrick, the youngest of Dewey’s children, is finalizing plans for a brick-and-mortar store to carry on the family business in the Chicago area.


Dewey’s BBQ Market Tradition Lives On


At Dewey’s BBQ Market, we utilize hardwood fire methods to prepare locally sourced, high-quality meats, smoking them slowly at low temperatures for many hours to achieve that deep-down hardwood smoked flavor. True to the Texas BBQ tradition, we do not use conventional ovens, charcoal, natural or propane gas, wood pellets, liquid smoke, or boiling methods. Our loyal customers have always appreciated the taste difference, and we are confident you will too.
